Scripted by “The Little Prince” author Antoine de Saint-Exupery, this diverting romantic adventure foregrounds his passion for aviation through the story of a young woman (Annabella) who aspires to become a pilot and the various men who both teach her to fly and fall in love with her in the process. It’s above all a showcase for its charming star in one of her last prewar French films before she decamped for Hollywood and married Tyrone Power.
