Synopsis
Director Johnnie To blends his signature mastery of the crime drama with freewheeling comedy and whirlwind romance for this madcap screwball procedural, bolstered by the chemistry and charisma of superstars Andy Lau and Sammi Cheng. Lau plays the titular former policeman who, having lost his eyesight, now ekes out a living solving cold cases. His career gets revitalized when he joins forces with a rookie inspector (Cheng) who enlists him to help solve a case involving her long-missing childhood friend.
