Le ciel est à vous

Inspired by a true story, this uplifting romantic drama stars Madeleine Renaud as the wife of a mechanic and former fighter pilot (Charles Vanel) who falls in love with the idea of flying herself. This soon becomes an obsession, and she undertakes a lofty feat: the longest solo flight ever made by a woman. A warm, vivid look at a working-class family and marriage as well as a triumphant tale of determination, LE CIEL EST À VOUS (a.k.a. THE WOMAN WHO DARED) proved to be an enormous popular success thanks to its rousing celebration of the human spirit.
