Synopsis

Oscar Wilde’s classic drawing room comedy LADY WINDERMERE’S FAN comes to the screen with a sparkling script cowritten by another legendary wit, Dorothy Parker, and under the typically sophisticated direction of Otto Preminger. When the young Lady Windermere (Jeanne Crain) begins to suspect her husband (Richard Greene) of having an affair with the mysterious Mrs. Erlynne (Madeleine Carroll, in her final film role), gossip and misunderstanding threaten to destroy their marriage and reputation.
