Born in Sydney, New South Wales, Belle began her screen career in the early 1990s and quickly became a familiar face on Australian TV. Belle's breakthrough came with her portrayal of Karen Dean on the long-running soap opera Home and Away, a role she played from 1990 to 1993. Her character was central to several memorable storylines, including a dramatic criminal arc that captured audiences. She also appeared in an episode of the beloved Australian drama A Country Practice in 1992, showcasing her versatility across different genres of television. In 1994, Belle made her transition to film with a supporting role in Muriel’s Wedding, a critically acclaimed and commercially successful Australian comedy directed by P.J. Hogan.
