Barnaby Clay is a British film director from London. He graduated in 1996 from the London International Film School and has spent the past fifteen years directing music videos for bands and artists such as Gnarls Barkley, Dave Gahan, TV on the Radio, Santigold, and Yeah Yeah Yeahs. He has written and directed numerous award-winning short films, including Greetings from Beartown, commissioned by Britain’s Channel 4. His first feature, SHOT! The Psycho-Spiritual Mantra of Rock, is being released by Magnolia Pictures on April 7, 2017.
As a preface to his list, he writes: “In terms of ‘wrestling with my brain,’ this is one of the hardest assignments I’ve had. There are so many titles that I could add and so many stone-cold masterpieces to choose from, it’s almost cruel to limit it to ten.”
